R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all its employees, customers, the public and to prevent damage to equipment, property and the environment. This is achieved through the use of a comprehensive health and safety program. It is R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd.’s policy to provide quality service while taking all reasonable steps to prevent any injury to our employees.
To achieve this objective R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. will comply with all federal, provincial, local and industry safety regulations. R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. expresses a commitment to work in consultation and cooperation with the workers.
R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd.’s Health and Safety program involves:
- Training all workers (management, supervision and workers) in good health and safety practices.
- Providing necessary personal protective equipment and instruction for its use and care.
- Developing and enforcing company rules.
- Investigating reported incidents and injuries to prevent re-occurrence.
- Providing engineered mechanical, written and physical safeguards to protect workers.
- Inspecting sites to find and eliminate unsafe conditions.
R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. recognizes that the responsibilities for health and safety are shared, and each employee is held accountable for their actions.
- R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. accepts the responsibility and accountability for the leadership of the health and safety program. This includes the effectiveness and improvement of the program to ensure safe working conditions. Also to work in consultation and cooperation with workers regarding health and safety issues.
- Managers / Supervisors are responsible and accountable for the health and safety of the employees and the development of proper attitudes towards health and safety in the workplace. They shall support and promote the health and safety program and ensure the employees are informed of their responsibilities regarding health and safety.
- Workers are responsible and accountable for their own safety and the safety of others. Workers shall comply with all rules and regulations. They will continually practice good health and safety while performing their duties.
R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd.’s Health and Safety program is designed in the best interests of all personnel, sub-trades, visitors and customers. R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. believes incident prevention and efficient production go hand in hand and, accordingly, insists on dedicated participation from everyone.
R.H. Jones & Son Mechanical Ltd. recognizes the right of workers to work in a safe and healthy work environment. Employees have the right to participate, to know and refuse unsafe work.
